Pin 3 HOLD/HOLD OFF Setting:
Sets the HOLD/HOLD OFF function. This setting determines whether the signal
input status to the CPU is held when a transmission error occurs (HOLD) or
whether all input bits are cleared (HOLD OFF).
Setting Description
ON Signal input status held when a transmission error occurs (HOLD).
OFF Signal input status cleared when a transmission error occurs (HOLD
OFF).
Pin 2 Output Word Setting:
Sets the number of output words (points) occupied at the Master.
Setting Description
ON One word (16 points) of outputs.
OFF Two words (32 points) of outputs.
Pin 1 Input Word Setting:
Sets the number of input words (points) occupied at the Master.
Setting Description
ON One word (16 points) of inputs.
OFF Two words (32 points) of inputs.
Note 1. Even when selected, the HOLD function does not operate in the following
cases:
Error in the Master (CPU out of
control, etc.)
HOLD inoperative for Master and
Expansion Masters.
Error in Expansion Master (CPU out of
control, etc.)
HOLD operative for Master but
inoperative for Expansion Masters.
Cable discontinuity between Master
and Expansion Master
Shorting in transmission route
2. Disconnection between Slaves:
HOLD operative for Slaves connected to Master. Inoperative for output
Slaves after the discontinuity. These statuses determined by the output
Slave HOLD/HOLD OFF setting.
