Outsorts
Reason Description
Double Feed Outsort
The gap between two sequential envelopes exiting the feeder
was smaller than the DOUBLE OUTSORT GAP SIZE machine
parameter.
Gap Too Small Outsort
The gap between two sequential envelopes exiting the feeder
was smaller than necessary to perform a proper extraction. (See
the Feed Gap Control section of this document for more informa-
tion.)
Short Outsort
The measured length of an envelope at the right envelope OCS
sensor was less than the Length Minimum job parameter.
Long Outsort
The measured length of an envelope at the right envelope OCS
sensor was greater than the Length Maximum job parameter.
Thin Outsort
The outsort TMD determined that average thickness of an
envelope was less than the full envelope Average Thickness Low
job parameter.
Thick Outsort
The outsort TMD determined that average thickness of an
envelope was greater than the full envelope Average Thickness
High job parameter.
Thick Change Outsort
The outsort TMD determined that the envelope had a change in
thickness that fell between the full envelope Minimum Thickness
Change and Maximum Thickness Change job parameters.
Thick Peak Outsort
The outsort TMD determined that the envelope had at least one
thickness reading above the Thickness Peak Threshold job
parameter.
Invalid Thickness Data
Could be caused by the following outsort TMD problems: null
value too small, null value too large, no valid readings, no valid
readings after the offsets were applied, TMD processing was not
completed on time.
Invalid Envelope MICR
Report
The envelope MICR sent no report or more than one report for an
envelope to the main control board.
Metal Outsort
The envelope MICR detected metal in the envelope.
Invalid Envelope OCS Report
The envelope OCS sent no report or more than one report for an
envelope to the main control board.
Damage Outsort
The envelope OCS detected a damaged envelope.
Mark Outsort
Could mean that envelope OCS either detected or did not detect
a mark depending on how the Identify by Mark job parameter is
set.
Outsort Jamsorts
Accounts for pieces directed into the outsort bin during a jam
condition.
