Stop and unbind any active I/O domains.
# ldm stop-domain domain-name

Verify that the nonprimary domains are inactive.
# ldm ls

Shut down the primary domain.

Switch from the system console prompt to the Oracle ILOM prompt.

From the Oracle ILOM prompt, type:
-> stop /System
Are you sure you want to stop /System (y/n)? y
Stopping /System

Note - To perform an immediate shutdown, use the stop -force /System command. Ensure
that all data is saved before typing this command.
