0 = The element is enabled (for example a magazine or drive has been installed or has
been logically enabled)
1 = The element is disabled
Medium Type
This field provides the type of medium currently present in the element as
determined by the medium changer.
The library returns the following values:
0h = Unspecified - the medium changer cannot determine the medium type.
1h = Data Medium
2h = Cleaning Medium
Source Storage Element
Address
This field is valid only if the SValid bit is 1. It contains the address of the last element
from which the data cartridge was moved.
Primary Volume Tag
Information
When the PVolTag bit is set to 1, the library returns volume tag information.
When PVolTag is set to 0, this field is omitted, and the reserved fields below
it are moved up.
The Primary Volume Tag field contains the formatted null-terminated ASCII
barcode label on the tape cartridge.
The "Library Volume Label Format" configuration setting determines the
format of the cartridge label data that is returned in the Primary Volume Tag
Field. The following settings are supported:
• Trim last two characters (default): This field contains the first 6 characters
of the cartridge label.
• If the cartridge label is "KL1020L6", this field will contain "KL1020"
and the domain and type fields will contain 'L' and '6'.
• If the cartridge label is "KL10203040L6", this field will contain
"KL1020" and the domain and type fields will contain 'L' and '6'.
• Full label: This field contains the first 8 characters of the cartridge label.
• If the cartridge label is "KL1020L6", this field will contain
"KL1020L6" and the domain and type fields will contain 'L' and '6'.
• If the cartridge label is "KL10203040L6", this field will contain
"KL102030" and the domain and type fields will contain 'L' and '6'.
• Trim last character: This field contains the first 7 characters of the
cartridge label.
• If the cartridge label is "KL1020L6", this field will contain "KL1020L"
and the domain and type fields will contain 'L' and '6'.
• If the cartridge label is "KL10203040L6", this field will contain
"KL10203" and the domain and type fields will contain 'L' and '6'.
• Prepend last two characters: This field contains all characters on the label
after moving the last two characters in the label to the front.
• If the cartridge label is "KL1020L6", this field will contain "L6KL1020"
and the domain and type fields will contain 'L' and '6'.
• If the cartridge label is "KL10203040L6", this field will contain
"L6KL10203040" and the domain and type fields will contain 'L' and
'6'.
