Other Commands and Reservations
Unit reservations are released or canceled by:
• A Release command from the initiator that owns the reservation (original initiator
or the third party)
• A Task Management reset:
• Target Reset
• LUN Reset
• An interface reset
• A power-on reset of the library
If the library is reserved as a unit, the library processes only the following commands
from another initiator:
• Prevent/Allow Medium Removal with Prevent bits set to 0
• Inquiry
• Log Sense
• Release (the reservation is not released)
• Request Sense
• Report LUNs
• Report Target Port Groups
All other commands result in a Reservation Conflict status (18h).
