Connecting Backup Batteries
There are 2 types of backup batteries connection:
a. Connecting multiple shelves to one set of backup batteries
b. Connecting each shelf to its own set of backup batteries
Connecting Multiple Shelves to One Set of Backup Batteries
1. Turn off the battery switch on the PSU.
2. Connect the Back-up Battery Cables to a set of 3 identical backup batteries.

Note
• When connecting backup
batteries, make sure to use the same number of Back-up Battery Cables as
the number of installed shelves, even between connected batteries. For example, if 4 shelves are
installed, 4 cables must be attached to each terminal of each battery, as shown above.
• If the length of time that power must be maintained after a power failure exceeds the capacity of the
backup batteries, connect additional sets of 3 backup batteries as required.
