4.4 Gift Transaction
4.4.1 Gift Sale
Note
Gift Cards are cards that are sponsored by individual Merchants. They
allow the customer to purchase items or services using the card as
payment.
Example: X is a member of Y’s shop. X goes to Ys shop to buy some
apples. After X finishes his shopping, he goes to Y to pay for the apples.
X delivers his gift card to Y, and Y processes a Gift Sale transaction on
the S300 POS terminal and ECR. When the transaction is complete, Y
returns the gift card to X. X takes the card and apples, and then goes
home.
