9.4.8 BLFC cleaning
1. Using a 16 mm wrench, unscrew the nuts (2) and remove the tube (1).
2. Using an 18 mm wrench, remove the BLFC holder (3).
3. Using pliers, remove the cage (4) from the BLFC holder (3).
4. Remove the BLFC washer (5) from the cage (4).
5. Change or clean the BLFC washer (5) with a terry cloth.
6. Clean the cage (4).
7. Lubricate the seal (6) with approved lubricant only.
8. Reverse above procedure steps to rebuild.
Mandatory
The washers (5) have to be installed with their chamfered side upfront the water
stream flow.
Flow indication must be visible after the washer (5) is placed on the holder (3).
