5. Pull belt to check for proper
fastening and adjustment, as
follows:
• Pull shoulder section to make sure
belt ts snugly across the chest
and pelvis.
• There should be less than 1 inch
(25 mm) gap between the body
and the belt.
• The shoulder belt must be
positioned over the shoulder, it
must never rest against the neck
or be worn under the arm.
• Make sure any slack is wound up
on the retractor and that the belt
is not twisted.
To
unfasten the belt:
1. Push in
the release button on the
buckle.
2. The belt
will spring out of the
buckle.
If the
belt is locked, lean the body back
to remove any tension in the belt. After
releasing the belt, allow the belt to
retract completely by guiding the belt
tongue until the belt comes to a stop.
