Each vehicle completed by Peterbilt
Motors Company uses a Vehicle
Identication Number (VIN) that
contains the model year designation
of your Peterbilt. The practice is in
compliance with 49 CFR 565, Code of
Federal Regulations.
The Vehicle
Identication Number is
on the Peterbilt labels on the left hand
door post. The VIN contains 17 digits.
The 10th digit is the code for the model
year of your vehicle. The example VIN
below shows how this code works:
