NOTE
Easy addition
of circuits is provided by
plug-in connectors that have a ground
and a power wire.
For proper
electrical system
performance, refer to a wiring
diagram for your chassis before adding
electrical options.
WARNING!
Never install a circuit breaker in a
circuit that is designated as “fuse
-
only” circuit(s). Fuse-only circuits are
marked with an * on the reverse side of
the Power Distribution Box cover. Us
-
ing a circuit breaker in those fuse-only
circuits may cause the circuit to over
-
heat when a short exists which could
lead to equipment damage and/or per
-
sonal injury.
Batteries
Battery Access
The vehicle
is originally equipped with
three or four batteries. Replacement
batteries must meet the following
specications: maintenance-free,
group 31 size, threaded stud, 12V/ 650
cold cranking ampere (CCA), and 160
minutes of reserve capacity.
The battery
compartment is located on
the left side of the vehicle, under the
cab access steps.
1. Remove the
6 bolts that are
located in the 2 cab access step
plate.
2. Remove battery
cover for access.
