Instructions for horizontal transport
1. Screw the eye bolt up to the stop in the mounting hole that is opposite the fore-vacuum connec-
tion.
2. Attach suitable lifting tools to the eye bolt.
3. Pay attention to the correct use and fastening of the lifting equipment.
4. Lift the turbopump.
5. Remove the eye bolt following transport and installation as required.
Keep the eye bolt for future use.
4.2 Storage
We recommend
Pfeiffer Vacuum recommends storing the products in their original transport packaging.
Storing the turbopump
1. Seal all flange openings with the original protective caps.
2. Seal all other connections (e.g. venting connection) with the corresponding original parts.
3. Store the turbopump only indoors within the permissible temperature limits.
4. In rooms with humid or aggressive atmospheres: Hermetically seal the turbopump together with a
drying agent in a plastic bag.
