Analysis
Analyzer - Ancillary Status
The Qx has a sophisticated real-time display to analyze ancillary data in the signal. UHDTV has a new set of
rules for carrying this data. The clear graphical representation of this is required to establish compliance.
Color coded signal conditions - present, lost, and error are all available. Additional data is displayed as the
instrument is resized.
In addition to the option of a combined view, this software revision introduces tabs for separate 'Grid' and
'List' views of the ancillary data.
One view, Grid, gives a high level overview of packets present.
In the other 'List View' tab headings can be expanded, allowing for a granular drill down of discovered
ancillary packets – providing info on presence, checksum, Parity, and DBN. Packets can also be selected
here for ‘Analyzer – Ancillary Inspector’ analysis.
Colour coding provides further health info at a glance:
l White - Indicates ANC packets present and correct
l Red - Indicates ANC packets present but in error
l Yellow - indicates ANC packets present and correct but there has been a previous error
From the submenu – accessible in all views - ancillary status analysis can be reset:
l Reset
Display style can be selected:
l View > [Tab View, Combined]
The combined view provides both the high level overview grid at the top and the expandable list view
underneath, all in a single window, as shown below:
