Analysis
Analyzer - CRC Analysis
The ‘Analyzer - CRC Analysis’ window checks for CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) errors in the received
signal. The number of SDI input failures, the last failure time, total analysis time, and error rate are also
displayed. Dependant on the input required for the standard under test, i.e. quad, dual, or single input, the
Sub Image columns will show any errors occurring in each of the Sub images, and in the larger window size
the Link rows will show any errors occurring per Link.
‘OK Time’ shows the length of time an image/sub image has been received without error.
The instrument also detects active picture changes, and PHABRIX analyzers provide the active picture CRC,
allowing for any changes in the expected active picture CRC value to be observed.
CRC errors are ignored on the switching line if ‘Ignore CRC on switch lines’ is enabled in the submenu:
l Ignore CRC on switch lines > [Enabled, Disabled]
To reset instrument:
l Reset errors and running time
