Secondary Method
a. Using two clip leads, connect one clip lead to each end of one of the
Disarm Resistors.
b. Touch the clip leads directly to the spade terminals on the Power PCA
where the Defibrillator Capacitor is connected. Maintain this
connection for at least 5 seconds.
TIP: Another way to make this connection is to clip the leads to test
probe leads, then use the test probes to touch the spade terminals.
c. Repeat steps a and b using the other Disarm Resistor. The
defibrillator capacitor is now discharged, even if one of the resistors
is damaged.
