with
the
following:
1.
Install
the
Shock
Advisory
Adapter
or
Defibrillation
Adapter
into
the
defibrillator
paddle
wells.
Connect
the
instrument
to
ac
power.
Replace
steps

through
6
in
the
Service
Manual
with
the
following:

Press the CHARGE pushbutton on the adapter, if using the Shock
Advisory Adapter.
4. Press the left adapter discharge pushbutton; confirm no beep sounds.
. Press the right adapter discharge pushbutton; confirm no beep
sounds.
Simultaneously press both adapter discharge pushbuttons; confirm
that a beep sounds.
. Install the defibrillation cable to the adapter. Attach the ends of the
defibrillator cable to the adapter test load connectors.
Press W ENERGY SELECT A as necessary to set the energy level to
200J.
Press CHARGE on the defibrillator or the adapter.
After the defibrillator reaches full charge, simultaneously press both
adapter discharge pushbuttons to transfer the energy into the adapter
test load. Confirm that TEST 200 JOULES DELIVERED displays on
the monitor and annotates on the recorder printout.
. Attach the patient cable to the ECG simulator.
2. Select LEAD II on the defibrillator.
Press SYNC. Confirm that SYNC MODE displays on the CRT, the
sync marker (the inverted triangle) is clearly visible on each displayed
R wave, and the SYNC pushbutton LED flashes.
With the defibrillation cable attached to the adapter test load
connectors, press W ENERGY SELECT A if necessary to set the
energy level to 200J.
. Press CHARGE. After the defibrillator reaches full charge,
simultaneously press and hold both adapter discharge pushbuttons
until the energy is discharged into the test load.
