PIAGGIO X9 Evolution 125 2008 - Shock Absorber Removal and Refitting

Removal
Proceed as follows:
- Undo the screw fixing the shock absorber spring
unit to the engine (A) on one side and the corre-
sponding support (B) on the other;
- remove the saddle and the helmet compartment;
- undo the two upper nuts (one on each side) fixing
the shock absorber spring unit to the chassis and
remove the shock absorbers.
Proceed as follows:
- Undo the screw fixing the shock absorber spring unit to the engine (A) on one side and the corre-
sponding support (B) on the other;
- remove the saddle and the helmet compartment;
- undo the two upper nuts (one on each side) fixing the shock absorber spring unit to the chassis and
remove the shock absorbers.
Carry out the previous operations but in reverse
order.
Locking torques (N*m)
Lower shock absorber clamp 33 ÷ 41 Upper
shock absorber clamp 33 ÷ 41
Refitting
Carry out the previous operations but in reverse order.
Locking torques (N*m)
Lower shock absorber clamp 33 ÷ 41 Upper shock absorber clamp 33 ÷ 41
