10. Asterisk key : The Keypad Chime
The keypad’s chime helps supervising doors and windows, by sounding beeps for several seconds,
every time one is opened. It is especially useful with infants and in shops.
10.1 Set chime zones
Master code zone number to confirm.
To disable the chime in a chime zone:
Master code zone number to reset the zone and
cancel the chime.
When you set a zone as a chime zone, every time it will be opened the keypad chime will beep.
The letter ‘C’ in the Fast zone type indicates a chime zone.
10.2 Turn the chime on and off for all chime zones
Press and hold the asterisk key, until an appropriate message is displayed: “Chime ON” or
“Chime OFF”.
10.3 Silence the keypad
Pressing these keys together turns the keypad’s chime on and off (toggle). This is a per keypad
setting.
To Silence the keypad at fault:
Turning the chime off also disables audible notifications for the exit/entry
delays, faults and the opening chime zones.
