MAINTENANCE
Lubrication
Lubricate the suspension and steering components with Polaris
Premium grease (PN 2871066) annually or about every 1000
miles (1600 km). The illustration shows the location of
suspension and steering components. The + in the illustration
indicates a grease point or fitting.
DGrease left and right spindles. Raise the
front end of the machine to permit better grease entry into
the spindle area.
DLubricate both front ski pivots at fitting as shown.
DGrease jackshaft and driveshaft clutch side bearings.
DUse an aerosol lubricant on the steering post s upport bracket.
DGrease center steering arms.
DGrease steering post lower pivot.
DRear suspension pivot shafts. Raise the rear of unit.
A grease gun kit, complete with grease and adaptors (PN 2871312),
is available to lubricate all fittings on Polaris snowmobiles.
