MAINTENANCE
General Maintenance
Fuel Filter/Fuel Lines
Oil Filter
The oil filter should be changed
annually or every 1200 miles (1920
km). Inspect oil line condition at
2000 miles (3200 km). Polaris oil
filters are specially designed for use
on Polaris products. Use only
Polaris replacement parts.
Edge models use an oil filter (3)
that’s built into the oil sending unit
located in the bottom of the oil tank.
After changing the oil filter, bleed the
oil injection system of all trapped air.
See your dealer for instructions, or
have your dealer perform the filter
change and bleeding operation for
you.
NOTE: The direction of the arrows
indicates the direction of flow
through the filters.
See page 77 for oil recommendations.
The in-tank fuel filter (1) and fuel lines should be inspected
regularly. Give special attention to the system’s fuel line condition
after periods of storage. Normal deterioration from weather and
fuel compounds may occur.
Do not use pliers or a similar tool to remove fuel lines as damage
may occur.
Do not kink the fuel line as damage may occur. If a fuel line has
been damaged or kinked, replace it promptly.
