REGULATOR / RECTIFIER
The regulator / rectifier
q
is located behind the ECU
bracket behind the left rear wheel well.
NOTICE
If the regulator / rectifier case temperature exceeds
230° F or 110° C, the unit will turn itself off to cool down.
The unit will turn on again after it has cooled down to at
least 212° F or 100° C. If it turns off, verify the cooling
fins are clean, free from debris and that adequate
airflow is present.
Regulator Replacement
1. Disconnect the two wiring harnesses
w
going to the
regulator.
2. Remove the two fasteners
e
retaining the regulator
to the ECU bracket.
3. Remove the regulator from the vehicle.
4. Install new regulator on the bracket. Torque fasteners
to specification.
TORQUE
Regulator Fasteners:
8 ft-lbs (11 Nm)
5. Connect the two regulator harnesses.
