FUEL INJECTION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the seat.
3. Disconnect the fuel line from the fuel pump.
4. Disconnect the fuel pump electrical harness.
5. Remove the fuel tank vent hose
NOTE: A small amount of fuel may come out of the
fuel line or tank. Plug the fuel line and tank inlet or
use a shop towel during removal.
NOTE: Properly drain fuel into a suitable container.
6. Remove the RH rear fender and fuel cap.
7. Remove the two inner bolts that hold the fuel tank to the
frame.
8. Remove the two outer lower bolts that hold the fuel tank to
the frame.
