3 First Steps
ATTENTION!
Damage to connections caused by bent contact pins!
All cables must be easy to plug in.
» Check the contact pins before plugging in the cables.
» Do not use any force when plugging in the cables.
» Replace defective cables with new cables.
» If necessary, contact your local Polytec representative.
ATTENTION!
Damage to the instrument caused by overvoltage!
» First of all, connect up all components as described in this chapter before
connecting the mains cable and switching on the instrument.
ATTENTION!
Damage to the device caused by wrong installation of the SMA cables!
Mounting the SMA cables without the respective torque wrench may damage
the device or cause signal interferences.
» Always use the supplied torque wrench for the SMA cables. It is fixed to
45 Ncm.
In the following you will find a description of all necessary steps to connect up
the instrument. When connecting the protective earth cables, refer to the
corresponding figures. The cabling of the basic components is shown in
