Force fw update
The force rmware update should be used with great caution.
Under normal circumstances the M28 detects rmware version mismatch in a
connected device and allows a rmware update for the device to be started
from the menu (see page 39). In a situation where a rmware update fails, the
device might get stuck in rmware installation mode and fail to start properly.
The device will therefore not be detected by the M28 and the rmware update
for that device will not be available in the menu. Forced fw update is only
intended to resolve this or similar situations.
Use the Force fw update feature only if a previous rmware update attempt has
failed and/or one of the components is not functioning properly.
Update CAN enabled Poseidon products
To access and use the forced rmware update function use the buttons and
select the “System” app. Once in the app press both buttons to access the
system menu. Select “Force fw update”. You can now see a number of options,
they are all listed and explained below:
Select this option if you want to update the rmware of the E-Module in the
SE7EN.
Select this option if you want to update the rmware in the SE7EN battery
module.
