Note! It may not be possible to tune the acoustic tracks when the cassette and device are in the same room due to
the strong acoustic feedback. This can cause audio tracks to be induced. In order to effectively adjust the parameters
of audio track, the adjustment should be carried out in the target installation.
Adjustment of the audio tracks is fully electronic and is carried out from any cassette in the system. Audio
tuning is possible in two ways. The first way is to manually enter their values in the audio parameters. The second
way is to adjust the parameters during a conversation in the same way as with a potentiometer (more/less). It is
recommended to use the second method of adjustment, because the effect of changes is already audible during the
tuning process.
To enter the audio track adjustment mode, enter in parameter 90 the time (in minutes) for which the manual
adjustment is to be activated. This parameter is only global – the adjustment is available from all cassettes. Then
call the premises and press button 2, 5 or 8 (displaying the current setting of a given track, explanation below).
The adjustment procedure can be divided into two parts: basic parameters of the track and autosilencer
adjustment. Switching between one mode and the other is made by selecting the button . The current mode is
displayed on the first position of display (example of display screenshot):
• – basic track adjustment – track parameters without Autosilencer
• – “automatics” adjustment – Autosilencer settings
The second character on the display represents “direction” of the adjustment, i.e. the value of which parameter is
currently displayed (example of display screenshot):
• – track “downwards” adjustment
• – track “upwards” adjustment
• – balance adjustment
In both modes, the settings are changed with the use of key groups: 1-2-3 (track “upwards” – from microphone
to uniphone), 4-5-6 (balance), 7-8-9 (track “downwards” – from uniphone to loudspeaker). Change of any setting
switches off the Autosilencer. In order to turn on the automatics, it is necessary to select “0” key. Autosilencer is
switched off in order to be able to test the track in a stable way, without any interference of automatics.
Manual adjustment
In this mode, changing the settings will turn off the automatics (Autosilencer) and the audio tracks will operate
in basic mode. In this mode the keys have been assigned as follows:
1 – quieter track upwards (cassette microphone volume)
2 – display of the current track setting upwards
3 – louder track upwards
4 – balance adjustment
5 – display of the current balance setting
6 – balance adjustment
7 – quieter track downwards (cassette loudspeaker volume)
