Receiver Oscillator (Part of Receiver and Transmitter Oscillator Module (8) )
The Receiver Oscillator can provide one, six or twelve operating channels according to the
module fitted. Channel selection is made by the Channel switch (not fitted to single channel
equipments) which selects the appropriate crystal operating in the series mode at the 3rd overtone.
The exact frequency of operation can be adjusted by the crystal trimmer appropriate to the crystal
selected. (See also Netting Procedure).
*NOTE: The Receiver and Transmitter Oscillator Modules are fully described under
MODULES SHARED BY RECEIVER AND TRANSMITTER.
Receiver Multiplier (5)
A harmonic of the oscillator output is selected and then amplified by this two-stage module to
provide the injection frequency to the mixer. The multiplication factors are as follows:—
Frequency

TR2
148-174 MHz
138-141 MHz
117-137 MHz
68-88 MHz

Test Points (TP1, TP2) are provided in the emitters of TR1 and TR2 for alignment, TP3
monitors the level of the injection frequency.
