16 10V REGULATOR
The circuit of this module consists of a series limiter (TR1) controlled by TR4 via TR3.
Short-circuit
protection is provided by D4.
Transistor TR4 samples the regulated voltage and compares it with the reference voltage, OV.
The error signal is amplified by TR3 and applied to the base of TR1 to maintain a stable output of
between 9,9 and 10,2V.
The resistor R7 ensures that the module operates satisfactorily under varying load conditions.
Under short-circuit conditions the action of D4 (with TR3) switches off TR1 to protect the
module. When the short-circuit is lifted, the module resumes normal operation.
The 'select-on-test' resistor R5 varies in value between 39052 and 15052 . A table of values
required for specific conditions is shown on the overall circuit diagram.
The module is secured to formed pedestals on the main unit frame wall by two M3 x 25mm
Pozidriv screws.
Receiver and Transmitter Oscillator Module (8) — Single Channel
This horizontally mounted plug-in module consists of two identical crystal controlled
oscillator circuits mounted on a common printed board. The crystals operate in the series mode
at the 3rd overtone and the exact frequency of operation can be adjusted by the inductive trimmers,
L1 (receiver) and L2 (transmitter). The module is secured to the Mother Board by 2 x M2,5 pillars
and 2 locating pins.
