Compass when diving
To navigate this menu follow the instructions shown in the picture on the left.
Compass resolution: 1°
Compass accuracy: +/-1°
Press D Button to set the current Route
Press and hold B to increase the reactivity of the compass
When in Compass mode, the iX3M 2 shows:
Current depth (on top left): Expressed in meters (or feet if ft)
RunTime (on top right): Expressed in Minutes : Seconds
Direction (on bottom centre): Current direction expressed in degrees (°)
Graphic Compass (on centre): Graphic compass with route indication.
Direction in route (+/- 5° from the one set with D)
Direction to follow to nd the route initially set (right or left)
Direction in reciprocal (+/- 5° from the reciprocal of the set route)
DIR: Route currently set
REC: Reciprocal of the route that has been set.
Helpful tip:
The iX3M 2 electronic 3D compass is compensated with 2 accelerometers. The iX3M 2 can compensate
automatically your arm’s inclination until an angle of 85° from the horizontal position.
ATTENTION:
The compass must be calibrated
correctly in order to function
properly.
