4.12. SHUTTING THE STOVE DOWN
The stove can be extinguished at any time and in any position.
NEVER SHUT THE STOVE DOWN BY CUTTING OFF THE
ELECTRICITY SUPPLY:
Always leave it to complete the shutdown cycle,
otherwise damage could be caused to the structure,
and also problems with lighting in the future.
To extinguish the stove, press for a few seconds on the key .
The display (8) will show the message “OFF”. At this moment the
shutdown cycle begins, in which the pellet loading screw stops, while
the smoke extractor and the hot air exchanger remain on until the
temperature of the stove has dropped.
The actual shutdown of the stove only occurs 20 - 30 minutes later,
and in any case not before the smoke temperature drops below 50 °C.
This occurs to allow the combustion fumes to be ducted into the flue
pipe by means of the extractor.
It also means that there is total recovery of the heat yielded by
combustion to the structure of the stove.
