Why is seed flow uneven to individual openers in my Remlinger 2300 Drill?
    • M
      Monica KramerAug 3, 2025
Uneven seed flow to individual openers in your Remlinger Drill can occur for several reasons. First, check each meter unit to ensure it's opening properly and adjust if necessary. Also, too much trash in the seed can cause this issue, so cleaning the seed is recommended. Make sure you have enough seed in the hoppers. Finally, a plugged seed tube or opener can also cause uneven flow; clear any obstructions you find.

What to do if Remlinger 2300 has uneven seed depth?

      Gregory WrightAug 17, 2025
If your Remlinger Drill isn't achieving an even seed depth or the opener fails to penetrate the soil, several factors could be at play. Start by checking the down pressure on the openers and adjust the down pressure spring for more pressure if needed. If the ground is too hard, prepare a deeper seed bed if you are using conventional methods, or add weight within recommended specifications if you are using no-till methods, or wait for necessary moisture. Also, excessive speed can pull the drill out of the ground, so reduce tractor speed. Check the press wheel height and raise it if it's set too low. Finally, ensure the drill is level from front to rear and reset it if necessary.
