5.18.2 Anti-rotation device

All 250ml and 500ml grinding jars have a drilled hole (BV) underneath the grinding jar as anti-
rotation device. The anti-rotation device is only used with the PM100 and PM 100CM and is
located on the side of the grinding jar casing with lettering.
5.18.3 Heating the grinding jars
Depending on the grinding time and the fill level, the grinding jars can be heated to a
temperature of up to 150°C during grinding.
This temperature change causes the pressure inside the grinding jar to increase. When
unscrewing the lid, please note that this excess pressure is released by a sudden escape of air.
This may be accompanied by particles of sample material.
