• EGB (PCB1) defective
• Harness between the synchronization detection board and LDB.
Check if the SC occurs by turning the power OFF then ON. If the SC occurs again,
do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling the power after each
step.
• Check for condensation.
• Replace the laser unit.
• Replace the EGB (PCB1).

During the startup operation of the machine or during printing,
• The LD current exceeds the specified value while the LD is on.
• The LD driver initialization operation performed when the LD lights up is not
completed normally.
• The harness of the LDB is broken or disconnected.
• LD degradation (LD is broken, output characteristics shifted, PD damaged)
• LDB defective (LD driver defective)
Check if the SC occurs by turning the power OFF then ON. If the SC occurs again,
do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling the power after each
step.
1. Check the connection between the laser unit and the EGB (PCB1).
2. Replace the EGB (PCB1).
3. Replace the laser unit.

Image writing ASIC communication error
The communication between the CPU and image writing ASIC is not performed
correctly during the startup operation of the machine or during printing.
Check if the SC occurs by turning the power OFF then ON. If the SC occurs again,
do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling the power after each
step.
1. Replace the EGB (PCB1).
