Local Mode/Remote Mode
z Local mode
In this mode, the controls on the panel of the VM-83 are used to operate
the unit.
Immediately after being turned on, the unit is always in local mode.
z Remote mode
In this mode, the VM-83 operates in response to commands sent from a
computer. Only the MENU key and LIGHT key on the VM-83 are active,
all other controls are disabled. The indication REMOTE appears on the
display of the VM-83 when the unit is in remote mode.
z Switching between local mode and remote mode
The RMT command is used to switch between local mode and remote
mode.
