Chapter 4 Security Options
Disable the USB Port With the Studio 5000 Logix Designer application, version 32.00.00 or later, use
a CIP Generic MSG to execute this option.
1. Add a MSG instruction to your program.
This message only has to execute once, it does not need to execute with
every program scan.
2. Configure the Configuration tab on the Message Configuration dialog
box as follows:
3. On the Communication tab, configure the Path. See Configure the MSG
Communication Path on page 41.
Applies to these modules:
1756-EN2x
1756-EN4x
IMPORTANT These values are stored to NVS memory in such a way that the MSG
instruction is not required to execute each time the controller powers up.
You cannot add a MSG instruction to your program if the controller
keyswitch is in Run mode, or if the FactoryTalk Security settings deny
this editing option.
