Using the chord sequencer

Edit the pattern name as needed.

“Renaming a song or pattern (Rename)” (p. 12)

When you’ve decided on a pattern name, press the [f4]
(EXECUTE)
button.
A conrmation message appears.

Use the cursor [ÌÌ] [ÊÊ] buttons to select “OK”, and press
the [enter] button.
If you decide to cancel, select “Cancel and press the [enter] button.
Once the data is saved, the message “Completed” is shown and the
display returns to the chord sequencer screen.
Editing a Chord Pattern (Chord Edit)
1.
On the chord sequencer screen, press the [enter]
button.
The Chord Edit screen appears.

The same screen is shown even if you select “Chord Edit” in the
CHORD SEQ MENU.

When you turn the “Kbd Analyze Sw” (p. 23) on in the Chord Seq
Setting parameters, you can play chords using the keyboard.

Use the cursor [Ì] [Ê] buttons to move the measure
(or beat)
to set.
3.
Press the function buttons [f1]–[f4] to specify the target
to edit.

Setting the intro, ending and loop
(Intro/Ending/Loop)
1.
From the CHORD SEQ MENU, select “Intro/Ending/Loop
and press the [enter] button.
This shows the Intro/Ending/Loop screen.

Edit the settings.

Parameter Value Explanation
Intro Sw OFF, ON Switches the intro on/off.
Intro Type SHORT, LONG
Selects the intro type.
SHORT: short intro
LONG: long intro
Ending Sw OFF, ON Switches the ending on/off.
Ending Type SHORT, LONG
Selects the ending type.
SHORT: short ending
LONG: long ending
Loop Sw OFF, ON
Switches the loop on/off.
OFF: The loop stops once it plays back
through the last measure.
ON: The loop plays back again from
the beginning once it plays through the
last measure.
* If Ending Sw is “ON”, the loop does
not play back even when Loop Sw is
set to “ON.
Conguring the chord sequencer
1.
In the CHORD SEQ MENU, select “Setting” and press the
[enter] button.
The Chord Seq Setting screen appears.
2.
Edit the settings.

Chord Seq Setting parameters
Parameter Value Explanation
Meas Length
1, 2, 3, …
255, 256
Sets the overall pattern length.
Transpose -11–+11
This transposes a chord pattern in
semitones.
Kbd Analyze Sw OFF, ON
Set this to “ON” to make the instrument
analyze and input the chords you play
on the keyboard.
This setting is not saved.
