The other features of Ethernet Interface are :
Inter-Frame Gap : Inter-Frame (or Inter-Packet) gap is the idle time between two successive
frames. Its value is 9.6 µs for 10 BaseT Ethernet and nominally 0.96 µs for 100 BaseT Fast
Ethernet
Illegal Frames : all illegal frames are discarded by the system : frame smaller than 64 bytes,
oversize frames and bad FCS (Ethernet CRC)
6.4 - Ethernet Configuration
Run the SAGEM-LINK F Pilot in super user mode.
From the main Pilot screen, click on the menu "Tools / Ethernet Configuration"
The following screen appears :

Select Ethernet
options
Select Bridge
options
Check box to disable Ethernet Alarm
This screen allows the user to select bridge or bandwidth allocation application (VLAN), to enable or
disable MAC address filtering, to select Ethernet speed, Full/Half duplex mode, to enable or disable
the flow control feature and to enable or disable the Ethernet input alarm.
When autonegotiation is selected, the system selects automatically the more appropriate
configuration.
When the Ethernet input is not connected to a Ethernet device, there is an Ethernet alarm. This alarm
can be disabled by checking the corresponding case.
