4.1 - Overview
This chapter provides information on interpreting LED indicators, SAGEM-LINK F Pilot screens and
gives procedures for unit replacement.
For Ethernet version, refer to chapter 6 description.

4.2 – Visual Inspection
Before beginning any specific action on the SAGEM-LINK F radio it is important to proceed to a visual
inspection and to note any discrepancy :
Visual Inspection Look for Actions
IDU to ODU Coaxial Cable Cracks, short circuits, moisture Clean or Repair
IDU and ODU Dust, Lightning Strike damages Clean or replace
Alarms (front panel and Pilot screen) All Green
If red indicator, perform
troubleshooting
Receive Signal Level (from Pilot
screen)
Nominal value (installation data)
Re align antenna, check remote
terminal transmit power
DC Voltage Input Within specified range Replace power supply
Antenna mounting Tight mount Adjust
