Note : Depending on the previous configuration, some alarms may still be present (Trib or Custom).
3.2.4 - Completing Link Configuration
Once the link has been established with the right main parameters, it is necessary to complete the
installation. The remaining parameters to adjust are :
• Local and remote tributaries configuration (alarms, impedance)
• Site names
• BER counting period
• Setting Alarm thresholds (BER, RSL)
• Alarm relays configuration
• Auxiliary channels configuration
• Automatic Transmit Power Control (ATPC)
• Network Management Interface Parameters (if available)
3.2.4.1 - Tributary Configuration
Click on the button
(top left (local) or top right (remote) of the toolbar on main screen) or use
the menu "Tools / Tributaries / Local or Remote" to open tributary configuration window.
This screen may vary depending on the current capacity. Below is an example for 16xE1 capacity.
