Inthecaseofaseverefrontalcollision,bothfrontairbags
willbedeployed.
Airbaginationisvirtuallyinstantaneousandoccurswith
considerableforce,accompaniedbyaloudnoise.The
inatedbag,togetherwiththeseatbeltrestraintsystem,
limitthemovementofafrontseatoccupant,thereby
reducingtheriskofinjurytotheheadanduppertorso.
Note:Whenanairbaginates,anepowderis
released.Thisisnotanindicationofamalfunction,
however,thepowdermaycauseirritationtotheskin
andshouldbethoroughlyushedfromtheeyesand
anycutsorabrasionsoftheskin.Afterination,
airbagsdeateimmediately.Thisprovidesagradual
cushioningeffectfortheoccupantandalsoensures
thatthedriver'sforwardvisionisnotobscured.

•Obstructionsbetweenanairbagandtheoccupant
mayaffectthecorrectdeploymentoftheairbag.
Obstructionsmustnotinterferewiththeairbag
inationpassages.Accessoriesmustnotbeattached
toorobscureanairbag.
•Frontseatpassengersshouldnotplacefeet,knees
oranyotherpartofthebodyincontactwith,orin
closeproximityto,afrontairbag.
•Aninatingairbagcancausefacialabrasionsand
otherinjuriesiftheoccupantistooclosetothe
airbagatthetimeofitsdeployment.
