AirbagWarningLight
DONOTservice,repair,replace,modifyor
tamperwithanypartoftheairbag,orwiring
inthevicinityofanairbagcomponent;this
couldcausethesystemtoactivate,resulting
inpersonalinjury.
Awarninglight,mountedontheinstrumentpack,will
alertyoutoanymalfunctionoftheairbags.Thelightwill
illuminateasasystemcheckwhentheignitionisswitched
toposition2andwillextinguishafterapproximately6
seconds.
Ifanyofthefollowingsymptomsoccur,thesystemshould
beinspectedbyyourMGAuthorisedRepairer .
•Thewarninglightfailstoilluminatewhentheignition
switchisinposition2.
•Thewarninglightfailstoextinguishwithin
approximatelysixsecondsaftertheignitionswitchis
inposition2.
•Thewarninglightilluminateswhilethecarisbeing
driven.
SpecialNotice
DONOTtormodifytheairbag.Any
changestothevehiclestructureorairbag
systemwiringharnessarestrictlyprohibited.
AlwayscontactyourMGAuthorisedRepairerif:
•anairbagwhichinatesinanaccidentneedsrepairand
maintenance.
•anypartofanairbagmodulecoversshowsignsof
deteriorationordamage,andtheremaybepotential
safetyhazard.
IMPORT ANT
•Theremoveorreplacementofanairbagmodule
mustbecarriedoutbyMGAuthorisedRepairer.
•After10yearsfromtheinitialdateofregistration
(orretdateofareplacementairbag),some
componentswillneedtobereplacedbyMG
AuthorisedRepairer.Theappropriatepageofthe
WarrantyandMaintenanceManualmustbesigned
andstampedoncetheworkhasbeencompleted.
