Engine Shutdown Procedure
1. Park the machine on a flat, level, stable surface away from people, traffic or other machines
2. Lower the work equipment to the ground.
3. Run the engine at idle speed (about 1,050 rpm) for about 5 minutes.
4. Turn the ignition key (a) to the OFF position.
Except for emergencies, never shut down the engine while it is running at high speed.
Stopping the engine at high speed can cause damage to the machine or cause the machine to
operate improperly.
If performing a battery disconnect, wait for at least one full minute before disconnecting the
battery cables so the machine ECM can complete its updating procedure. Failure to observe
and follow this notice can cause damage to the machine or cause the machine to operate
improperly.
