QUICK START FOR CAPTURING IMAGES
Charge the batteries
Charge the supplied batteries before using them in the camera.

Insert two of the supplied batteries in the
outer sockets and recharge them.
œ Recharge the supplied batteries. Do not
recharge batteries other than those specified in
“CONCERNING THE BATTERIES” on page
31.
œ Make sure the batteries are inserted with the
polarities ((+), (–)) as indicated on the battery
charger.
œ During recharge, the recharge indicator on the
battery charger is lit.
œ When the batteries are recharged, the
indicator will turn off.
œ The recharge time for two of the supplied
nickel metal hydride AA batteries (HR-3U) is
approx. 115 minutes.

Remove the batteries from the battery
charger.
œ When finished (the recharge indicator turns
off), unplug the power cord from the power
outlet and remove the batteries.
Caution!
First recharge the supplied batteries. Do not recharge other batteries with the
supplied battery charger. To ensure safety, read “Concerning the batteries”
on page 10 and “Concerning the supplied battery charger” on page 13.
