CONCERNING THE BATTERIES
Use the supplied or separately sold AA nickel metal hydride batteries with
your digital camera.
CAUTION
œ Please do not use manganese batteries. Not only is the battery life
extremely short, but there is also a danger of damage to the camera from
the manganese batteries overheating.
About the battery recharger
Be sure to fully charge the supplied nickel metal hydride batteries before
using them in your camera. For charging the batteries, use the supplied
battery charger.
Charge the batteries if they are being used for the first time, and recharge
them whenever the remaining charge is low (see “CHECKING THE
REMAINING BATTERY CHARGE” on page 174).
Recharging nickel metal hydride batteries
œ The supplied battery recharger can be used for the following Sanyo
batteries.
Nickel metal hydride batteries
AA: HR-3U (supplied)
AAA: HR-4U
Ni-Cd batteries
AA: N-3US, N-3U
AAA: N-4U
