Install the batteries and card
The card can be used after it has been formatted with the camera (see
“FORMATTING A CARD” on page 35). Be sure to turn off the power before
installing or removing the card.
Use the batteries recharged in step 1 above.
Make sure the polarity ((+) and (–)) of the batteries is as indicated in the
battery compartment, and that the card is oriented correctly.

Insert the batteries
1 Open battery compartment cover on the digital
camera bottom.
2 Insert the batteries.
3 Close the battery compartment cover.
4 Push the cover in the direction shown by the
arrow.

Insert the card
1 Open the card slot cover.
2 Insert the card all the way.
3 Fold down the eject button.
4 Close the card slot cover.
