Characteristic(customer-speciccharacteristic)
This function can be used to activate a transfer characteristic with respect to set-point value (set-point
position)andvalvestrokeforcorrectionoftheow-rateoroperatingcharacteristic.
The transfer characteristic can be changed via the communications software only.
Factory setting: DIP switch 3 set to OFF (linear)

The switching position of the DIP switches in the positioner has priority over the communications
software, i.e. settings of the correction characteristic (CHARACT)whicharemodiedviathecommu-
nications software are only active if DIP switch 3 in the positioner is set to ON.
