MAINTENANCE,STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
CHANGING ENGINE OIL AND FILTER
This procedure requires certain mechanical skills, specialized
tools (torque wrenches), and how to handle the discharge of
fluids. If you don't have the skills or tools, consult your dealer.
NOTICE
Whenever changing oil, it is recommended to change the oil filter.

WARNING
• The used engine oil contains potentially hazardous pollutants
which can cause skin diseases such as dermatitis and skin
cancer so take care to avoid prolonged and repeated exposure
to such oils. Wash the skin thoroughly with soap and water to
remove the used engine oil.
• The used oil and filtration must be scrapped in a safe and
compliant way with environmental regulations.Do not dispose of
used oil and filters in domestic garbage, sewers or on the ground.
For information on oil recycling or scrapping, please consult your
Segway dealer.
• Do not put used engine oil in a place where children can reach.
