3.1.12 Function Test: SpO2 + PR
Apply the sensor to the earlobe of a healthy person: Compare SpO2 and PR readings
against the readings of a reference pulse oximeter (e.g. N595 with Durasensor 100
from Nellcor). The SpO2 and PR reading should be within ± 3% SpO2
and ± 3 bpm,
respectively.
If this requirement is not met refer to
section 4.2.1 “Troubleshooting SpO2 / PR
monitoring”
to further evaluate the problem.
