6.1 Diagnostic procedure for system bus CAN 1/CAN 2
Diagnostic problem: Communication via system bus CAN 1 or CAN 2
does not work.
Initial status:
• System bus CAN 1 or CAN 2 is connected correctly.
• Communication via system bus CAN 1 or CAN 2 is programmed.

Is the bus connector plugged in? No → [A]
Yes
↓
Response of the LEDs CAN -1 sta-
tus or CAN -2 status?
Orange →
[B]
Green →
[C]
Lights up or flashes red
↓
System bus CAN 1 or CAN 2 is not operating
or communication of the system bus is faulty.
↓
[A]
↓
Check the set baud rate.
↓
Baud rate OK? No → [D]
Yes
↓
Make sure that terminating resistors are connected properly.
[A] Check the bus cabling.
[B] System bus CAN 1 or CAN 2 is being initialized.
[C] Bus communication is OK.
↓
Check the application program!
[D] Correct the baud rate!
