Inserting and Removing a
Card
This camcorder accepts an SD Memory Card
(commercially available) or a MultiMediaCard
(supplied) for storage of still images.
Inserting a Card
1 Make sure that the POWER switch is set
to OFF.
2 Hold the camcorder as shown in the
figure, and slide the card slot cover
release in the direction of the arrow.
• The card slot cover is opened.
3 Insert a card into the slot with the label
facing upwards and the chipped corner
facing the lens, and then push it in as far
as it will go.
4 Close the card slot cover.

Removing a Card
1 Perform steps 1 and 2 of “Inserting a
Card”.
2 Push the centre of the card edge in to
release the card.
3 Pull the card straight out.
Notes:
• The supplied MultiMediaCard is preformatted for
immediate use.
• See pages 96 and 97 for detailed information on
the use of MultiMediaCards and SD Memory
Cards.
Caution:
• Do not remove the card from the camcorder
while data is being recorded on the card (the O
indicator flashes on the screen), as this may
result in deletion of images on the card or
damage to the card itself.
