Setting the Area, Date and
Time
Available modes: TAPE-CAMERA, DUAL-
CAMERA, CARD-CAMERA
Example: Setting the date to 2 June 2002 (2.
6.2002) and the time to 10:30 am (10:30) in Paris.
Notes:
• Before performing the procedure below, make
sure that the lithium battery has been installed
(see page 16).
• If you are in an area that observes summer time,
set the time to the standard time. You can then
correct it for summer time by performing the
procedure on page 90.
1 Press the LCD monitor OPEN release in
the direction of the arrow (1) and open
the LCD monitor (2).
2 Hold down the Lock
button and set the
POWER switch to
CAMERA.
• The LCD screen turns
on.

3 Press the MENU/DISPLAY button until
the menu screen appears, and then
press SET.
4 Press f or d (1) until “2 PARIS”
appears, then press SET (2).
Note:
• See “Time Zone Chart” and “Area Table” on
pages 91 and 92 for the area number and
name of the representative city for your time
zone.
5 Press f or d (1) to select “SETTING”,
then press SET (2).
6 Press f or d to select “2” (day), then
press SET.
